Used Air Compressors

Trust Air Compressor has long been known for its activity and experience in used compressed air equipment.

Today, however, our approach has evolved.

The significant reduction in the purchase cost of new air compressors, combined with the substantial increase in the cost of spare parts, consumables and repairs, has considerably reduced the number of cases in which purchasing an older used machine is genuinely a cost-effective option.

For this reason, Trust Air Compressor no longer treats used equipment as a standalone trading activity, but mainly as part of the overall technical support and renewal of our customers’ equipment.

How we use used equipment today

Our general policy is the gradual renewal of our customers’ installations, particularly for customers with whom we maintain a long-term technical cooperation.

Within this framework, a used machine may become available mainly through:

• replacement of older equipment with a new machine under a particularly competitive proposal
• upgrading a customer to a larger compressor or higher air capacity
• management of equipment previously supplied by us
• temporary replacement in the event of a breakdown or emergency
• use as standby equipment in an installation where a second compressor is not available
• temporary support for increased production requirements or plant expansion
• limited cases of temporary rental, following technical evaluation

Management of older equipment

For our long-term customers, we aim to manage their older equipment in a way that facilitates the renewal of the installation.

When a machine is replaced by a new or larger unit, we can evaluate its return, reuse or further utilisation, creating more favourable conditions for the customer’s next investment.

Many of these machines are subsequently retained primarily to support our existing customer base as standby or temporary replacement solutions.

Availability of used equipment

The used equipment listings shown on our website and on Car.gr are indicative and do not necessarily represent stock immediately available for direct sale.

Some of the equipment may:

• already be installed at a customer’s facility
• be reserved as standby equipment
• be retained for temporary support of a specific installation
• be undergoing inspection, repair or replacement
• have already been allocated while the relevant listing has not yet been removed

For reason, the correct approach is not simply to select a machine from an online listing.

• the required air flow
• the operating pressure
• the required power
• the operating hours
• the application
• the existing equipment
• whether standby capacity is required

We can then evaluate which solution is currently available and technically suitable.
