Compressed Air System Inspections & Certifications

Trust Air Compressor performs technical inspections of industrial and marine compressed-air and vacuum installations to assess the condition, operation and reliability of the equipment.

An inspection may be performed as part of preventive maintenance, before purchasing used equipment, following a repair or installation, or in preparation for an inspection or certification by the appropriate authorised body.

Technical Equipment Inspection

Depending on the installation, the inspection may include:

  • equipment identification and recording,
  • visual and functional inspection,
  • inspection for oil, air or refrigerant leaks,
  • recording of pressure, temperature and operating hours,
  • assessment of load and unload cycles,
  • inspection of protection systems and fault indications,
  • assessment of the condition of major components,
  • inspection of the installation and operating conditions.

Compressed Air and Vacuum Installation Inspection

The inspection is not limited to the air compressor or vacuum pump. We assess the distribution network, pipework, air receivers, dryers, filters, condensate drains, control systems and auxiliary equipment.

Possible pressure drops, incorrect connections, inadequate ventilation, high operating temperatures, condensate-drainage problems and other conditions that may affect the safety and reliability of the installation are recorded.

Pre-Purchase and Equipment Acceptance Inspection

Before the purchase of a used air compressor, vacuum pump or other machine, we can perform a technical inspection to record its condition, operating hours and any maintenance or repair work that may be required.

A similar inspection can be performed during the acceptance of new or repaired equipment to confirm correct installation and operation under the actual conditions of the application.

Compressed Air Quality Assessment

Where required, we assess the compressed-air treatment equipment and the production requirements regarding moisture, particles and oil content.

Based on the application, we can recommend the appropriate combination of dryers, filters, condensate drains and additional treatment equipment. When official measurements or air-quality certification are required, the procedure is organised in cooperation with the appropriate specialist or accredited body.

Certification Process Support

When an installation or equipment must be inspected by an authorised body, we can undertake the technical preparation, equipment recording and correction of technical findings before the final inspection.

Official certificates are issued by the appropriate authorised or accredited body where required. Trust Air Compressor provides the technical support and coordination necessary to complete the required actions.

Technical Report and Recommended Actions

Following the inspection, a technical report may be provided, including photographs, basic measurements, recorded findings and recommended actions listed by priority.

The findings are divided into immediate technical requirements, preventive work and possible future improvements, allowing the customer’s technical department to organise the necessary actions effectively.

Repair and Correction of Technical Findings

Where corrective work is required, we can undertake the maintenance, repair or replacement of the necessary components and perform a follow-up inspection after completion.

Measurements and Leak Detection

The technical inspection can be combined with operating measurements, ultrasonic leak detection and an assessment of the system’s energy losses.
